Join us for an opportunity to change your perspectives and think critically about stewardship while mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking and hands-on learning alongside those who are working to protect and care for our natural spaces.



To engage students in authentic outdoor experiences that foster an understanding of local, national, and international environmental organizations which supports an understanding of stewardship that prepares students to become informed and angaged citizens.



Online course work will take place before the course at the students' home school. These sessions will be delivered using an online course management system. Immersion in the 4-day course will take place at the Canadain Rockies Ooutdoor Learning Centre in Bow Valley Provincial Park, Canmore Nordic Centre Provinical Park, and other protected areas within Kananaskis Country.



Students will participate in the unique citizen science research and dynamic projected based learning opportunities supported by Alberta Parks and local envionmental organizations. The Centre operates under a comprehensive public safety system ensuring the highest standards of due diligence adn care. Mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking, trail builiding, and assessment activities, remove camera research, wildlife monitoring and population counts, team building, and leadership skills.
