Lake Louise Ski Resort has been a valuable partner in the development and delivery of the Winter Travel 15 course. Students spend 2 days of the 4 day course receiving instruction in skiing/snowboarding, avalanche safety and awareness, ski patrol job shadowing, and emergency scenarios from experienced and knowledgeable instructors and patrol staff. In the evenings, students enjoy the accommodation at the Great Divide Lodge.
The Canadian Rockies Outdoor Learning Centre sincerely thanks Improvement District No. 9 for their financial support. The generous funds that have been donated have enabled our courses and resources developed, courses staffed, and program expansion to become a reality. Camp Chief Hector YMCA is a unique camping and outdoor education branch of YMCA Calgary that focuses on youth but offers programs for everyone through Summer Camps, Outdoor Schools, weekend programs for adults and families and meeting and event facilities. Their commitment to environmental stewardship, leadership development and service excellence has made this a natural partnership for the Canadian Rockies Outdoor Learning Centre.
